Overview: The Senior Credit Analyst will use in-depth knowledge in quantitative credit risk analytics and an understanding of retail business to develop strategies for new originations, delinquency and loss (charge off). The Senior Credit Analyst's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business solutions for the support of Conn's Credit division. This position will assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of the Conn's credit portfolio and partner portfolio's. As a key player in the Credit Analytics team, the Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the performance of warranty and insurance products. and the 3rd Party financing partnerships associated with our Private Label Credit Card and our Lease to Own products.

The role necessitates the candidate to have deep knowledge in mathematics especially statistics and programming. The analyst should be able to apply statistical principles and procedures as well as analytical techniques to drive portfolio optimization collaboration with the management team that can enhance strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: The Senior Credit Analyst's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Utilize advanced analytical methodologies and statistical analysis to drive optimization of Conn's Lease to Own partnerships.
    • Manage Conn's prime plus credit card and installment lending partnerships
    • Utilize advanced analytical methodologies and statistical analysis to drive optimization of Conn's Warranty and Insurance partnerships
    • Development and maintenance of key reporting KPI's along with customer segmentation reports, dashboards, and financial results
    • Completion of portfolio analytics as identified and requested from management Support IT with development and management of key credit and partnership data structures. Improve credit acquisition and yield opportunities by providing analytical and decision support within Credit Risk
    • Ensure accurate and actionable tracking mechanisms are in place for relevant portfolio and partnership testing
    • Continually develop, measure, and help optimize credit portfolio offerings within various segments
    • Support development and execution of loss and revenue forecasting models
    • Responsible for the development and integration of partnership data into the enterprise data warehouse
    • Support asset backed security transactions through reporting and portfolio analytics
    • Support Direct Mail marketing targeting through strategy development, performance monitoring and execution.
    • Other duties as assigned.


Required Experience
    • Qualified individuals will possess a degree in a relevant field, including Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics or Engineering.
    • Experienced in SQL and/or SAS programming
    • Knowledge/experience in statistics,
    • Data mining
    • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point
    • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently
    • Track record of driving business value and growth by leveraging analytics and innovative solutions

Preferred Experience
  • Five or more years of Financial analytical environment
  • R, Python, Power BI
  • Knowledge of relational database, knowledge using SQL Server or SAS SQL procedure to extract, clean, manipulate, transfer data, create variables and explore patterns and relationships
