POSITION SUMMARY

JOIN A DYNAMIC, FUN, and GROWING GLOBAL COMPANY by directing and overseeing all property related matters for thousands of fuel and convenience stores across the United States and Canada. Manages a dispersed team of property experts to support local and regional operations, marketing, IT, and development groups. Assists with the review and analysis of single and multiple site acquisitions of existing businesses, while forecasting and ultimately achieving desired ROI thresholds. Helps to develop, plan, and execute on the annual and long-term store network plan for multiple business units. Supports the company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service, and work efficiency. Position currently includes the direction of several BUs in US and/or Canada.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports, works closely with, and follows the direction of the Vice President and/or Head of Property Management, North America, in accordance and consistent with corporate strategic initiatives and capital spending. Prepares proposals and recommendations to accomplish corporate and BU goals and objectives
  • Directs and leads a dispersed property management team, with emphasis on mentorship and growth of individual members, as well as a focus on a commercial mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Achieves financial objectives by reviewing and negotiating leases, purchases, sales, and related site agreements
  • Facilitates and helps to organize annual network planning sessions with key stakeholders in multiple BUs
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area ("KRA") targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines
  • Assists in real estate development activities on an as needed basis.
  • Provides information to employees by reporting business results, trends and opportunities; competitive information; changes in policies and procedures; information on new programs; information from corporate office
  • Maintains team by recruiting, selecting and orienting new employees. Maintains results by training coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Commitment to always treat others with respect, honor, and professionalism.

  • Leads by example, maintaining professionalism and consistency always, in interaction with co-workers at all levels, and with internal and external parties
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
  • Three (3) years of experience or more preferred in Commercial Real Estate, Asset Management, and/or Property Management. Comparable / relatable experience considered
  • Two (2) years of experience managing a supporting team preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Access, Mapping and Demographic software desirable
  • Ability to concisely and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates, vendors, contractors, colleagues, and customers


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit at a desk or in a vehicle for long periods at a time
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Ability to travel as needed
