The Medical Assistant (MA) performs a variety of administrative and clinical duties to include support of the physician in providing quality medical care to patients.

Duties include, but are not limited to the preparation of exam rooms, preparation of patients for exams and/or procedures, maintenance of accurate, legible patient documents and handling patient phone calls while maintaining compliance with confidentiality regulations.

Must be organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent communications skills.

This position works in a fast-paced environment and requires flexibility with duties.

This is a PER DIEM FLOAT position working in various NJ locations .

Must be certified/registered as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMCA ,NCCT, NHA or AMT.

Must have a current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

1-3 years experience in physician practice setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, computer systems, ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding and the ability to prioritize tasks.

The role requires the ability to read and communicate in the English language.

High School graduate or equivalent required.
