Responsible for the installation, inspection and repair of electrical equipment and systems in buildings, both existing and under construction, to ensure the safe and optimal operation of power, lighting, communications and control systems. Operation and maintenance of systems including but not limited to substations, distribution systems and generators. Possesses working knowledge of other trades in order to coordinate work projects.


High School Diploma with Trade or Vocational School completion, including courses in blueprint reading, electricity, mathematics, and physics. 3+ years' experience in industrial and/or institutional systems with working knowledge of hospital electrical and safety codes.

Journeyman Electrician (or equivalent). Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
