The operations director provides leadership and operational oversight of the lifestyle services hub of the Jefferson Weight and Metablic Health Program. Under the broad direction of the enterprise VP and service line director the operations director manages nutrition, social work, psychosocial, and navigation services for the enterprise clinical program. The director is responsible for developing innovative approaches to delivering virtual and in-person clinical support to the surgical and medical clinic services for bariatric surgery, bariatric medicine, GI, endocrine, and other core clinical departments services. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of service, access, and accountability as a partner to a key clinical program for Jefferson Health.

  • Maintains detailed knowledge of the weight and metabolic health programming for the enterprise and ensures that all staff and clinicians are trained and educated appropriately
  • Manages the enterprise clinical support staff and is responsible for training and education in each discipline
  • Develops a culture of service and accessibility for the clinical services in support of the Weight and Metabolic Health Centers throughout Jefferson
  • Manages a model for patient centered care, including innovative approaches in virtual care, group training, and in-person options to meet the needs of Jefferson patients and providers
  • Collaborates with program managers and medical directors to ensure that the clinical support services align with the medical and surgical needs of each supporting clinic and program
  • Aligns with patient experience and customer service to ensure that department staff are trained and represent the most current service excellence model


  • Bachelor degree
  • Clinical certification in Nutrition (RD), Social Work (LCSW), or Psychology

  • 3-5 years of experience in a medical or surgical weight loss program
  • 1-3 years of management experience
