Reporting to the General X-Ray Supervisor operates radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray films as prescribed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Prepares patients for radiologic or fluoroscopic examination. Properly positions the patient and regulates radiographic exposure. Assures care and safety of patient undergoing treatment. Performs other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. May be required to rotate through all campuses of Frankford Hospital Radiology.
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology after completion of four years of high school.
Minimum of two years experience in a community or teaching hospital or a large imaging center.
Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements :
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Conditions of Employment
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
