Under the general direction of the Regional Manager/Physician coordinates and controls the day-to-day operations of the physician practice. Provides service to patients ranging in age from ages 0 - 100+.
  • Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make Abington - Jefferson Health (AJH) the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees.
  • Maintain office operations and manage office staff through the control and coordination of personnel schedules, payroll records, performance parameters, and continuing education related to office functions in multiple practice cost centers and/or cost center with multiple sites, to ensure total and effective service provision to patients, staff and the physicians.
  • Maintains statistical and financial records including cash/checks collected, disbursements, and daily reconciliation to ensure payments received are correctly recorded and data collection/statistical information is accurate.
  • Assists the Regional Operations Manager in the formulation of policies, procedures, protocols and performance improvement standards for office functions to ensure efficient operations of the staff.
  • Performs receptionist or other duties on as needed basis to maintain office coverage.
  • Orders office supplies to maintain inventory at predetermined level to facilitate the smooth operation of the office.
  • Qualifications

    • 5+ years medical office management experience preferred.

    Education & Training:
    • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent degree in medical office management preferred.

    License, Certification & Registration:
    • Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter.

    Other Requirements:
    • Computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills, physician scheduling and relation skills and professional interactive with multiple allied healthcare professionals.
