Overview Prepare account reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts Prepare and maintain amortization schedules Assist in administering the new lease accounting standards Prepare and process monthly rent payments and occupancy cost reconciliations Prepare and analyze key supporting schedules for assigned accounts Identify and record appropriate accruals for month-end/quarter-end Interact with a high degree of professionalism with other team members, internal and external audit teams, and respond timely and accurately to requests Handle confidential information with care Cross train with other team members as back up support Responsibilities Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 2-4 years of general accounting experience Demonstrated experience with account analysis and reconciliations, month-end closing procedures, and ad-hoc reporting is required Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, is required Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities are essential for this role, as well as analytical and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional working relationships within and outside The Fresh Market Detail oriented, highly motivated, and able to handle high volume activity while maintaining a sense of urgency in completing tasks and meeting deadlines Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is a plus Prior audit experience is a plus Prior experience using Microsoft Great Plains or similar general ledger applications is preferred
