Job Description

ABM is seeking a talented Social Media and Communication Manager to join our communication team. In this role you will be responsible for representing ABM across all social media channels (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) including campaign management, content creation, monitoring and governance. This role will also provide communication support including content calendar management, media relations and thought leadership campaign support.

The ideal candidate will be a digital native and possess a creative editorial mindset with the ability to shift between traditional and new style storytelling across various mediums and platforms. They will have the ability to think strategically and apply an elevated brand sensibility across all platforms while executing creative, impactful, and engaging content strategies in support of the company's mission and business strategy. They will also embrace a collaborative approach and successfully partner with key stakeholders across the enterprise including Technology, Marketing, Investor Relations, Legal and Operations.

Role Responsibilities:

Social Media Management
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a creative and high-impact social media strategy that supports ABM's mission, elevates the brand, and drives engagement
  • Manage end-to-end process for content generation for all corporate social accounts based on Enterprise, Industry Group and Business Function activities, including content development, image sourcing, review and approval process, publishing, and analysis
  • Drive community engagement across all corporate social channels, including monitoring and measurement
  • Liaise with Marketing Managers and other key internal stakeholders to ensure key initiatives, service offerings and campaigns are supported by dedicated social media activity
  • Generate monthly reports on channel performance and social listening to establish baseline KPI's and measure success
  • Protect the reputation of the ABM brand across social by enforcing governance, policing unauthorized or under-resourced social channels, and clean up outdated, unused social accounts.
  • Provide issues management support; monitor for negative comments on official ABM social media accounts and other targeted sites, run reports related to timely media issues
  • Manage agency/third party vendor support as needed
  • Stay informed about trends and tools in social media, marketing, and technology

Communications
  • Oversee editorial calendar management with a focus on content strategy for ABM's corporate owned digital channels
  • Provide support for media relations activity and thought leadership campaign development with a focus on social media amplification


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, communication, or new media or equivalent work experience in social media and/or military service
  • 4+ years of experience managing corporate social media account(s); public company experience a plus
  • A deep familiarity of social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Experience working for a large public company, media company, public relations and/or social media agency
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects; and adjusting priorities in a fast-moving business environment

Critical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Social Studio, or other social media scheduling / analytics tools
  • Excellent writing skills with ability to take specialized messaging and translate for various audiences
  • Professional, agile, creative, and highly collaborative
  • Have a passion for communications, creative storytelling, brands, and business
  • Outgoing personality that allows for the ability to engage with a wide variety of team members on a daily basis
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with leadership and key internal partners
