Currently, we are seeking a Sr. Analyst - Marketing Analytics who will oversee the data selection and processing of our direct mail credit marketing programs from inception to delivery, while focusing on analytics and optimization of these programs. In this role you will lead the planning, execution and analysis of Conn's customer acquisition programs and existing customer solicitations through the use of in-house and 3rd party tools and data sources. You will be challenged to increase customer acquisitions, increase response rates, and minimize costs. As a key player within the Credit and Analytics team, the Sr. Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the performance of marketing programs, while providing new and innovative ways to compile and present data. This position will also be involved in developing an attribution methodology across various marketing platforms to determine the most optimal path of customer acquisition and developing strategies to influence maximizing marketing efforts throughout the footprint.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage in-house direct mail acquisition campaigns for active and inactive customers and ad-hoc trigger campaigns
  • Responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting of Direct Marketing campaigns and projects. Create and maintain campaign-level reports, customer reports, dashboards, and financial results reports.
  • Support the development of segmentation strategy across different marketing channels.
  • Assist various teams in the development of an optimal merchandise mix by analyzing and evaluating current and potential product offerings.
  • Partner with external and internal clients to design new methods of testing and implement results into future campaigns.
  • Maintain and update performance files and provide ad hoc analysis.
  • Work closely with credit team to ensure alignment between pre-screen selection criteria and underwriting rules to consistently optimize approval rates
  • Examine creative results to determine the most impactful messaging and develop ideas for maximizing volume on budget parameters
  • Collaborate with team members to design an attribution methodology for tracking how often customers are being communicated to and the optimal path to purchase
  • Develop customer segmentations based on customer engagement

Qualifications:
  • MS or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role managing direct marketing campaigns and generating business intelligence reports
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and a strong familiarity with direct marketing metrics.
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills with database development, maintenance, and extraction of data for reporting.
  • Understanding of Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, SSMS, SSIS, and PowerPivot).
  • Experience with SQL relational database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DBeaver) preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis, visualization, and cleaning using statistical software packages (SAS, R, Python, Tableau, etc.)
  • Knowledge using tools such as Google Analytics, Magento, Heap, etc. is a plus
  • Experience in analyzing email marketing campaigns and other online marketing initiatives is a plus.
  • Involvement in a variety of functions in the consumer finance industry, including Credit, Compliance, Real Estate, Merchandising and Marketing is a plus
