Job Description

ABM Facility Services - HVAC Controls Technician/ Mechanic

Location: FEDEX EXPRESS 2001 Worldwide Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76177

Job Description:

In addition to being an all-inclusive position of all mechanical operations, repair and preventative maintenance on multiple components in and around facility inclusive of conveyors, PLC systems, Fire systems, package sorting systems, plumbing, electrical, operation of construction equipment. In most instances the HVAC Controls Tech position would primarily involve working with Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. Individual must provide a small list of tools and associated safety equipment, (safety shoes, knee pads, etc.)

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Having a current HVAC certification(s) is required.
  • General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building service, inclusive of use of tools and materials used in building maintenance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • The open position is on the first shift working five, (5) eight- hour days.
  • Applicant must pass a drug screen
  • Applicant must be able to pass ten-year criminal back-ground check, free of felonies and any convictions of theft or drugs.
  • Applicant must have valid Texas driver's license
  • Applicant must possess a Universal, Type 1, 2, and 3 HVAC certification.

Supplemental desirable experiences:
  • Knowledge of electrical up to Sub stations and Generators
  • Experience in Conveyors, HVAC, Fire/Sprinkler systems
  • Knowledgeable in PLC and controls is a plus.
