Surgical Technician, Abington, Pennsylvania

Primary Function:
Reporting to the Nurse Manager and under the direction of the coordinators or designee, the Surgical Technician functions as a member of the intraoperative healthcare team. He/she performs specific tasks to assist the surgical team and is competent to provide care for infants to geriatric patient population.

Qualifications

Education & Training:

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or a surgical technician training program.

Experience:

• 1 year of OR experience preferred (required if LPN).

License, Certification & Registration:

• Current licensure as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, if graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician preferred.
